Verification Policy

This policy explains what it means when a service provider on GoTopRated displays a "Verified" badge, what we check before granting it, and what verification does — and does not — guarantee.

What "Verified" Means

A "Verified" badge means the provider has submitted documentation to GoTopRated and successfully completed our review process at the time verification was granted. It is not a guarantee of future conduct or work quality, but it does mean the business's core credentials have been checked by our team.

Verification Requirements

Before a provider is marked as verified, we require:

Valid Business License

A current trade license issued by the relevant UAE authority for the category of service offered.

Background Check

Providers displaying our "Background Checked" badge have undergone a police clearance check for the business and, where applicable, its technicians.

Insurance

Proof of valid liability insurance appropriate to the services the provider offers.

Identity & Contact Verification

Confirmation of the business owner or authorized representative's identity, and a verified phone number and email address for the business.

Physical Address

A verifiable business address within the country the provider serves.

The Verification Process

  1. A provider submits an application and supporting documents through GoTopRated.
  2. Our team reviews the license, insurance, and identity documents provided.
  3. Where applicable, a background check is run on the business and its representative.
  4. Once all checks pass, the "Verified" (and, where applicable, "Background Checked") badge is applied to the listing.
  5. Verification is reviewed periodically, and providers may be asked to re-submit documents to maintain their status.

What Verification Does Not Guarantee

Verification confirms that a provider met our documentation requirements at the time of review. It is not a warranty or endorsement of the quality, safety, or outcome of any specific job, and GoTopRated is not a party to the agreement between you and any provider you contact.

We encourage customers to review a provider's ratings, reviews, and pricing information in addition to its verification status before hiring.

Suspension & Removal of Verification

Verification may be suspended or removed if a provider's license or insurance lapses, if documentation is found to be false or outdated, or as a result of a substantiated complaint or policy violation.

Reporting a Suspicious Listing

If you believe a listing is falsely displaying a verification badge, or has provided misleading credentials, please report it to us so we can investigate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our verification requirements and process over time to reflect changing regulations or platform needs. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
